Marathon entry season is upon us people, now is the time everyone is taking this scary steps an entering ballots the world over to try and get a place in a mass-participation marathon. There will be a lot of disappointed people who didn't get into VLM, but we have to ask: what's so special about running a marathon?
Is it just a 'bucket list' thing that most people will never repeat, or is it a rite-of-passage that you have to do to be considered a serious runner?
